Italy will participate in the third edition of Big Tech Africa, scheduled to take place in Tunis on October 13 and 14, with a dedicated hub aimed at promoting cooperation between startups, businesses and innovation players from Italy and Tunisia.

The initiative is being organised by ICE – Italian Trade Agency, with the support of the Italian Embassy in Tunis. The Punto Italia – Italian Innovation Hub will bring together three Italian programmes currently operating in Tunisia to support local startups, as well as Italian institutions, associations and startups interested in exploring opportunities in the Tunisian market.

The project is intended to create new connections between companies, entrepreneurs and professionals while encouraging partnerships between the innovation ecosystems on the two sides of the Mediterranean.

A key event in the Italian programme will take place on October 14 at 2:25 p.m. on the main stage, with a panel focusing on Italy’s startup promotion ecosystem. The session will be opened by the Italian Ambassador to Tunisia, Alessandro Prunas.

According to the official programme, the opening will be followed from 2:35 p.m. to 3:25 p.m. by a session devoted to partnerships and opportunities linking the Italian and Tunisian innovation ecosystems.

Italy’s participation in Big Tech Africa is aimed at strengthening ties between startups, businesses, institutions and expertise in the two countries, while creating new opportunities for cooperation and business development in the technology and innovation sectors.
